PennWest California serves about 8,200 undergraduate and graduate students by offering programs of study in science and technology, the liberal arts, education, and professional studies. Founded in 1852, the university is located on the banks of the Monongahela River in California, Pa., about 35 miles from Pittsburgh. Our undergraduate degree in environmental studies integrates intensive scientific curricula to prepare you for a professional career or graduate study in many related areas. If you decide to pursue the B.S. in environmental studies, you can choose from one of four tracks: Conservation Ecology, Environmental Science, Leadership and Management, Fisheries and Wildlife Biology, Natural Resource Management and Policy.
