Research

The RSC promotes, facilitates, and supports scientific research in the Lake Erie and Ohio River basin ecosystems. The research at the RSC incorporates all disciplines of science, including (but not limited to) biology, chemistry, geology, environmental science. Research is both aquatic and terrestrial. The RSC actively promotes the collaboration of research across disciplines and from multiple institutions and has been successful and developing teams of researchers from various institutions.

The RSC has received previous grant funding and support from US Environmental Protection Agency, US Geological Survey, Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, PA Sea Grant, Great Lakes Observing Systems, Sustain Our Great Lakes, PA Department of Environmental Protection, PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, and other public and private donors.

The Regional Science Consortium does not permit the charging of indirect costs; Since the RSC is a non-profit organization we do not permit indirect costs on requested non-federal funding opportunities.
