PA-DCNRlogoThe Tom Ridge Environmental Center is the gateway for exploration of Presque Isle State Park, a 3,200-acre sandy peninsula that arches into Lake Erie. The neck of the peninsula is attached to the mainland four miles west of downtown Erie, PA. The park is a National Natural Landmark, noted for providing habitat to the greatest number of state endangered, threatened and rare species-more than in any other area of comparable size in Pennsylvania. Presque Isle is also a major recreational landmark for about four million visitors each year. As Pennsylvania’s only “seashore,” Presque Isle offers its visitors a beautiful shoreline and many recreational activities. To learn more visit www.trecpi.org.
